Indian Canapé

A Canapé is a small,usually decorative food,held in the fingers and often eaten in one bite. It is often desired that a canapé be either salty or spicy. A canapé may also be referred to as a "finger food."

COOKING TIME:
15-20 mins after all ingredients are handy.

INGREDIENTS:
1.baked or fried baskets/cups[if you reside in southern part of mumbai-prefer WARDEN BAKERY...it costs near Rs.30 only]....if not this,then normal PURIS used for pani puri also would do.
2.2-3Potatoes [boiled and smashed]
3.1cup steamed sprouted beans[moong]
4.1 large tomato[finely chopped]
5.1 large onion [finely chopped]
6.quarter part of cabbage{OPTIONAL} [finely chopped]
7.Sev/shev

8.little coriander{kothimbir}[chopped]-For garnishing
9.chaat masala
10.red chilli powder
11.2-
3 tspn lemon juice
12.salt[as per taste]




PROCEDURE:
-place the baskets in a plate and fill in little of smashed boiled potatoes in it as shown in the picture below:


-fill up steamed moong,chopped tomotoes,onions,cabbage.

-sprinkle little of lemon juice,salt as per taste.

-garnish with sev,coriander and chaat masa

TIPS/PRECAUTIONS:
-For best results,dont prepare and keep,serve as soon as done to avoid it from being soggy [naram] due to the steamed beans.
